This website is dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Thor Soderberg, 1967 – 2010.
Thor was a beloved husband, dear friend, doting son, supportive brother, generous uncle, trusted colleague and always a teacher to those around him.
Thor loved being a Chicago Police Officer; he believed it was his job to serve, and then protect. He hoped by being the police he would be able to help those who had nowhere else to turn. Read about some of the ways he did this in About Thor’s Life.
Thor was killed in the line of duty on July 7, 2010. He is desperately missed.
Every July 7 we remember him by doing what he did every single day: Paying It Forward.
